Post Covid Symptoms
My father was tested covid positive one month back with a ct score 15, because of which he was admitted in the hospital for around 1 week and was on oxygen for 5-6 days as his SPO2 level fell to 87-88 and was having breathing issues. Now its being 3-3.5 weeks that he got discharged from the hospital. From before he is feeling much better though his SpO2 level is also matained from 95-97, the only symptoms which lasted are - little bit of dry cough, and 20-30 times he gets long hiccups (long siski).
So just wanted to ask, is this common.

Its quite common in postcovid state.. Take steam inhalation and hydrate his body with plenty of oral fluids....

One of the most common organ affected in covid 19 is lung. Many have covid pneumonia and this can lead to pulmonary fibrosis or secondary infections. So because of the prolonged inflamatory responses 20 to 30 percent have post covid symptoms. Dry cough heaviness in chest and breathlessness usual post covid manifestations post covid syndromes may last one to three months or more. It will subside later.Not to worry much but if productive cough or discomfort a repeat chest xay may be taken and consult.
