Post covid cough

My father had moderate covid and was in hospital for 5 days, received remedisver, discharged on Jan 1st, got covid profile test in mid Jan all reports are fine and even tested negative it's been 1.5 month, he still has mild dry cough and no other symptoms How long does one have cough post covid and should we go any testing again , Any recommendations would be helpful

Post viral cough could also mean bronchitis which can easily be treated . Kindly open a personal consult for explanation and treatment prescription
