Post Circumcision Surgery

Hi I have undergone circumcision surgery recently by a General Surgeon. The surgeon has advised me to put just antibiotic cream over the stitches area and given medication like pain killer, antibiotic, vitamin and amino acids tablets. But I seem to find the penis to be shorter and bulgy after circumcision. Have sharp pricks in the frenulum area and itching at times at the stitches area. Is this all normal. Is it good to cover it with gauze after applying antibiotic cream or leave it freely. How about Vaseline petroleum jelly , is it advisable to put it over the stitches for better healing? Kindly help me get clear on this. Thanks!

There might be swelling post surgery thats why it is appearing bulgy, have some anti inflammatory medication and if it is painful u need to consult a doctor, to rule out infection. U can also apply ice. Its just psychological that penis is shorter, only foreskin has been cut. U can leave it open and tingling sensation is bcoz of the fact that glans is the very sensitive part, it wil settle in few days.
