Recently I was scratched by a stray cat. The scratch drew blood. I went to the e.r. 36 hrs later to try and receive a rabies vaccination. The e.r. doctor examined the scratch and deduced that there was no way I could have gotten rabies from said scratch. Only way to get rabies is through a bite. Which I know not tonbe true. My question is should I entrust my life with this doctors opinion. It has also been a 8 days since the scratch occured.Is it to late for a vaccination if I have been infected
