Hello Doctor, How many doses of pneumococcal vaccines are recommended. I read somewhere that 3 doses should be given. My son already got 3 vaccines but doctor now is prescribing 4th dose also. Please advise. Rgds

Hello, pnumoccocal vaccine 1st ,2nd ,3rd are given at 2nd ,4rd ,and 6 th month respectively. But bosster dose is given at anytime between 12th to 15th month.So now doctor is recommending bolster dose for your child . Meet pediatric doctor in nearest hospital and vaccinate him .its necessary.
