Pleural effusion is fluid around the lungs. It is necessary to drain it for the lungs to function to the full capacity depending on the quantity. Hi. I understand your concern s. The fluid needs to drained and tested to find out what is the cause for the same and test accordingly. Consult a pulmonologist for the same at the earliest.
