The reports show a metabolically active mass in the right breast (BIRADS 5) with skin and nipple involvement, FDG-avid right axillary nodes, lung lesions, and L2 vertebra — all suggestive of metastasis. One non-FDG avid liver lesion is also seen.
Biopsy has already been done — results expected in 4–5 days. Meanwhile, chemotherapy has been started by the treating doctor. Just wanted to check if this is the right approach or if any further urgent steps are needed.
You have uploaded the Sonomammogram. PET CT findings you have typed as lung and bone metastasis. If it’s metastatic breast cancer, we need to know if it’s HR pos, HER2 pos or neg or it’s even TNBC. If she is not in visceral crisis for a patient with HR positive breast cancer, need not start chemotherapy. It would be ideal to wait for ER PR HER2 ki67 reports for this decision.
