I have been applying benzoyl peroxide 5 for a week now but skingets peel off but not the marks,Am I doing it wrong Suggest

Apply benzoyl peroxide gel for 2hrs at bedtime and wash it off . Apply moisturizers after that. For marks you might require chemical peels.
