What are the adverse effects of taking contraceptive pills?? in how many days v can know about pregnancy??

Hi. Currently low dose oc pills are there with very few side effects. Headache, nausea, mild weight gain, sore breasts are few. Most patients tolerate these pills well and get accustomed in 1-2 months. Serious side effects like liver disease, formation of clots can occur but are very rare. You can do pregnancy test as soon as you miss periods. In case you wanted to know about emergency post coital pill, they are high dose and have same side effects in more intensity. Also they tend to cause irregular menses and are not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy
