Periods delay meprate .

Hi, I have started taking meprate 10mg for delayed periods I have taken the medicine for 2 days and today my period started .doctor had told to take it for 5 days twice the day as my periods has started on the second day of taking the tablet what should I do should I continue taking the tablet for 5 days or should I stop taking it please advise
