During sex, the condom  bursted, he didn't noticed it. He started taking Trustiva tablets after 64 hrs. Is it prevent the HIV spreading. Does it have any side effects Doctor said it is not curable, only controllable. Does it attacks in 1 time only.

PEP is effective when it has been taken within 72 hours. It can prevent HIV transmission. Minor side effects. Giddiness , sleep Disturbances, skin rashes. HIV can occur in single exposure too.
