Better you consult with any psychiatrist with your wife. Some time a medication which psychiatrist  prescribe has several indications. We use  antipsychotics as mood stabilizer, as  antipsychotic and sometime in aggression associated with personality problems. So better you consult a psychiatrist who can take history and if require ask her parents to come and meet in presence of them. Dont make any conclusion only on basis of medications.
