My dermatologist has asked to go for a test on 2 or 3rd day of cycle, for PCOD tests and ultra sound. Is it necessary to go only on these days ? Can I go other days of my cycle or later, would that change the diagnosis? Also how these tests supposed to be done fasting or non fasting?

Better to do between 1st to 5th day of your menses as it gives accurate result ,Most of the tests are non fasting but few like HOMA IR tests for pcod requires fasting
