PCOD and Thyroid

Am 24 years, recently diagnosed with PCOD and added to this am also diagonised with auto-immune Thyroid disorder (anti-TPO count ~ 60) Symptoms: irregular periods, hair-loss, headache. Currently am on Thyronorm 100mg, one pill daily, Recent findings, 1) TSh : 1.68microIU/ml 2) blood glucose levels are normal 3) Homocysteine levels, CRP levels, Creatinine levels are normal pls advice: 1) what treatment options are available? 2) the effect on fertility by taking birth control or contraceptive pills, The pros and cons 3) the specific life style changes and diet changes to be made 4) exercise options to be followed I wish overcome both these problems, please advise.

Hello. Your present TSH levels indicate that your hypothyroidism is well controlled. Your weight is normal too 1) you can be started in myoinositol. It's a long term treatment but effective along with diet and exercise. 2) OC pills will not affect fertility. After you stop them, ovulation resumes within 2-3 months. 3) avoid all artificial sugar, packaged food, fried food. Increase water intake, fruits & vegetables. Cook food in minimum oil 4) you may go for gym, yoga, dance, aerobics, running. At least 30-45 min everyday
