Symptoms witnessee are hairfall, tiredness. She also has low BP often and suffers from anexity and headache  besides swelling in hand and toes. She also has thyroid and stomach acidity for which she is taking medication. Will she be able to conceive after 6 years of marriage? She has been suffering from irregular periods. Is it curable?

First her cycles need to be regulated with diet modification, excercise and few medications. We can do ovulation induction in her situation and try for conception.

PCOD is a genetic condition and is not completely curable. However there are a lot of options available for management of the symptoms and for prevention of the adverse effects of pcod. For irregular periods she needs to be on hormonal pills (progesterone pills) to regularise the menses and take myoinositol tablets too. Pregancy is possible naturally/with ovulation induction. Hair fall/tiredness are more related to the thyroid problem than to pcos.

PCOD is a lifestyle disorder and can be treated depending on the current condition of the patient First of all you’ll have to change her eating patterns and make necessary lifestyle changes like - increase physical activity Reduce junk food / excessive oily /spicy food
