I'm under medication taking Pan 40 tab more than 4 weeks as doctor advised. He asked to me take 6 to 12 weeks cycle. Shall I know why this 6-12 weeks.

It's not specifically 6-12 wks. It depends on the severity of your acidity / ulcer issue. So that they heal completely. Continue as advised along with diet and lifestyle changes
