Painless inflamed tonsils

I had tonsils which was painful and took Azithromycin 500mg for 5 days ,the pain went away .But the swelling is still there ,it doesn't pain.Still have a little cough which is improving but the swelling is not going away.Wanted to know when can I start taking cold beverages(soft drinks as well as alcohol) like  normal  or should  I still continue with gargling and warm water.

continue gargle for 10 days. After 10 days you can have normal food.

If no symptoms . Swelling will remain.. Cough is there so wait for a while before u start

Swelling if present without pain, nothing to worry. Cough persists long time you need treatment

Avoid cold food Hexidine gargle If symptoms persist then permanent solution is surgery

After cough subsides than u can have cold beverages and yes if no symptoms are there u can ignore swelling
