Pain in upper left side of my throat

I've had this constant problem of tonsil stones for a while now.Around a week back I tried very aggressively by coughing and applying pressure with my jaw and tongue to remove it from my throat because it was disturbing me and was successful. But that wasn't the issue a day or two after I did that there has been constant pain in the upper left side of my throat. It hurts when I eat sometimes and and has not healed.I'm not 100% completely sure that what I did to get my tonsil stones out is the cause though it's the most probable cause. What's worrisome is that it hasn't healed in so long. The area is sore and hurts.I'm pretty sure it's my tonsils that have infected or swollen.Even when I touch the area in under the back part of my jaw close to the pinna of the ear it hurts.

Tonsils have depressions and grooves which are normal and sometimes food particles etc do get stuck in those grooves. Go and visit an ENT and physically get your tonsillar area examined as that will give a confirmed idea to the doctor whether there is any infection or not.

Accumulation of food particles in tonsil causes stone. Do gargle atleast with water after eating anything.
