Ossopan D and Tonoferon Dosage
My baby's pediatrician has prescribed Ossopan D 3.5 ml and Tonoferon 0.5ml twice a day. Can both the medicine be taken together? If not how much gap should be there? My baby is 5 months 12 days old weighing 9.3 kgs.

iron supplements need to be taken on an empty stomach. it can be taken anytime of the day but it is advisable to take either 1 hour before food or 1 hour after food.
if taken with food the advantage of the medicine will be less.
also it is not advisable to take iron supplements with any other medicine and a gap should be maintained if other medicines are going on(half hour gap is enough).
you have to make the child drink water after taking iron supplements otherwise it can cause black staining of the tooth.
it will lead to black colour stool of the child which is totally normal.
Please maintain a gap of at least 1 hour between iron supplement or calcium supplement otherwise they will not be absorbed
