Orthognathic surgery- correct age?
Hello, I'm fifteen years old, with the lower jaw overgrown on one side. Though I've no problem chewing, or sleeping (apnoea) , I'm concerned about my looks. I'm precocious with a petite height of 4.10 ft.( Not growing for about a year now).Should I wait till 18 years old to get a corrective surgery done or can I get it done now?(Braces r ruled out)

As u probably know, the main intention of waiting till 18 yrs for orthognatic (jaw) surgery is that the growth should not express afterwards (which would mean relapse).
It's possible that ur facial growth is already complete at 15 yrs.
One of the proven ways to find out is to evaluate a hand-wrist radiograph.
