Oral Contraceptives - PCOD and Thyroid

Hi, I have PCOD and thyroid. To regulate my periods I have been put on Doris for 3 mths. Planning for a baby in the coming months. Is it advisable? Wont hamper the pregnancy? Thanks!

Doris is also a contraceptive apart for helping in regulating periods. If planning for pregnancy you should meet a Gynaecologist stop T.doris once this cycle is over continue thyroid Medicines. Period can be regularised using other medicines which are safe in pregnancy

It is a contraceptive pill, so it will prevent a pregnancy when in use as that’s what it’s function is.but it also regulates periods . But if contemplating on a pregnancy please see your gynaecologist to consider pregnancy friendly options which can also regulate your periods.
