Open surgery for Hernia

Hi Doctor , my father in law has Hernia issue and age is 75, Doctor has advised to undergo open surgery for hernia instead of laparoscopy considering his age .. Considering the less scar and quick heal, can we go for laparoscopy ..? !pls advise .. Kindly note :He has Parkinson issue and no BP and no Sugar.

At the ago of 70 with Parkinson’s disease he will be better with open Surgery without mesh also known As Desarda repair devised by Indian Surgeon based in Pune Laparoscopic. Surgery is not scarless but small three scars

Hi, if his ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY shows good tolerance and if he can walk half km without support then a Laparoscopic Hernia Mesh repair can be offered which will have almost scarless and painless surgery
