Hi, I had an emergency c section on 10th, after which I had shivering followed by fever for which blood test showed infection and second night I had the same. After which blood and urine culture was done found that I had an infectious bacteria called e coli. I was on meropenun iv every 6 hours including paracetamol. My symptoms never changed but was told they can't continue the drug more than 7 days as it may show adverse reactions. I am in the hospital still and all the doctors are clueless what to be done. It's been more than 48 hrs of antibiotics stopped currently just on paracetamol and symptoms have got worst. Pls advise what can I do. They have done quite a bit of testing and scan but no luck.
