Oil kept on pan and I burnt wheat on it?

For a hair remedy I needed to burn wheat.I burnt it on a pan on which there was some oil residue.Will that oil burn and discharge toxic chemicals and will make my recepie toxic . or it is safe and I can use burnt wheat in my remedy.
