Oedematous caecum & multiple lymph nodes

My child is 6 years old His weight is 14 kg Symptoms- sometimes fever and pain in lower abdomen After consulting a doctor he suggested for ultrasound and this is the report- Mildly thickened and oedematous caecum and ascending colon seen with multiple mesenteric lymph nodes of 8 to 12 mm in size and minimal pelvic ascites . No obvious collection is seen in right iliac fossa. Appendix could not be seen Both papas muscles are normal . Both co angles are clear Please tell me doctor .. What to do and is there any treatment for this Results after treatment and for how long this treatment undergoes

8-12 mm are a moderate sized lymph nodes which should get treated,but u didn't mentioned the treatment you are taking.
Next Steps
Atleast a 1week coarse of treatment is needed.
