A close relative was diagnosed with OCD almost 25 years back. He has gone through a tough personal life due to this challenge. Comparing today to his worst phase, he is a lot better but has not fully recovered, has extremely low self esteem and suffers from depression. He initially was on medication but for the last few years, he has not seen a doctor and continues to self medicate which is way short of the required dosage. He also does not wish to see a doctor.
