My nephew is suffering from common cold since 3 weeks. Which comes back after every 3 or 4 days, even after medication because his routine is not proper. Since two days he is observing pain in his ear mainly in night. I took him to a ENT specialist, the doctor said that his eardrums have got swollen because of common cold and advised medication. He also asked me to visit him after 3 days. Only thing I fear off is that he said we have to clean the ear if required. I don't really like the idea of cleaning the eardrums with the sharp tools they have. Please advise me on this. Also I am attaching the image of the midicines he advised. Please review on this and tell me if I need to visit another doctor or continue with this one. One more thing I want to know is how severe is the condition of my nephew as the pain comes only in night and he had only two sessions of that. Thank you.
