Not able to lift left arm

My son is not able to lift his left arm from shoulder since Feb 2015. He sends instruction from the brain but it doesn't get lifted. He can hold the things but with less power. Bend the elbow but not much. Arm is having waisting mussules also. He is going through acupressure therepy from last 20 days. please suggest.

Hey,boy cannot lift up hand above head because of muscle weakness ,it could be due to muscular dystrophy or nerve injury , Electro myogram test is required to know the cause ,physiotherapy also hepls in regaining strength ,consult orthopedic doctor if acupressure therapy doesn't work for your child .
