Nipple indentation
I had a large fibrodenoma in my left breast and had it surgically removed when i was 16 years old. I am 22 years old now and i have 2 lumps in my right breast and 1 in my left breast respectively. My doctor recommended ultrasonomammography and the results were normal indicating fibrodenomas. She told me not to worry and go for yearly scans. I have noticed a very small indent near my right nipple. It is very small and is only visible sometimes. At other times my nipple appers normal. I read many things about indentation online and i am worried now. What should I do?

Hi, it may well be because of fibroadenoma itself. However such things can't be ignored. As a baseline, ultrasound should be done. Seek opinion of a general surgeon or if available someone with special interest in breast diseases. A FNAC - Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology may be required to arrive at diagnosis on specialist's advice.
