  4. New born baby. I can do to prevent it?

I am 12 weeks 3 days pregnant carrying hbE trait and my husband also carrying elevated hbF (1.5%) . Is there any chance to have baby born with Beta thalassemia. What I can do to prevent it?

Only high hbf means nothing...  You need to get husband has electrophoresis
