Multi-vessel angioplasty is an option, if he is not willing to undergo surgery.
Having said that, I must also inform you that in the long term CABG has better outcomes in diabetics. There remains a finite risk of restenosis after a few years which may need additional angioplasty. This risk depends on the number of stents deployed, length of stents etc etc.
Also, right coronary artery has a total occlusion, the success of an angioplasty in such cases remains around 70% as opposed to the other two vessels with 90% block which has high chances of a successful angioplasty.
In short - angioplasty is an option here, but a bypass remains the better option.
