Hi - My dad was admitted in ICU because of Server Covid 19 for 10 days. When he returned home he was fine but felt really weak. He was discharged on 13th november. He was recovering fine but after few weeks he stopped eating by saying he doesn't feel hungry and started feeling extremely fatigue. We took him to consult Liver specialist who suggested it's It's Alcoholic Liver Cirrhosis along with Swelling in Liver and same was discovered in MRI. He had Fibroscan today. My dad's score of the scan is MEDIAN STIFFNESS 54.2kpa, IQR 13.2kpa, IQR/MED 24%, Valid Measurement 10, Success Rate 50%. My dad is also a Type 2 Diabetic & he is Obese. My dad's next consultant is after 3 4 days and I want to know what this score mean.

Your dad seems to be having metabolic syndrome and the basic cause is obesity.
Next Steps
if he is less than 65 years then bariatric surgery is an excellent option which can help resolve cirrhosis as well as his diabetes. but needs to be evaluated by a bariatric team first
Health Tips
avoid oily spicy food.
