You may apply heat pack for 20 mins thrice in a day to reduce pain.
Please visit a physiotherapist who can assess you and know the exact cause of pain and plan a program accordingly .he / she can give you certain modalities to reduce pain.certain streches and some specific exercises to strenghten your neck and shoulder muscles.
It is also important that you maintain good posture while in front or laptop or reading books. Even while doing yoga the alignments of body posture are very important..
