What is side effect of using fluticonasone furoate nasal spray for long time and is fluticonasone furoate nasal spray same as fluticonasone propionate and azelastine nasal spray and if not which one is better

Hi.. Long term Furoate use will not cause any problems as such, some may complain of nasal dryness n bleeding.. Usually we taper the dose of furoate after 1-3months if the patient is symptomatically better.. Furoate is more potent steroid than propionate, and azelastine is antihistamine, a separarte drug.. The furoate salt of Fluticasone is better than the propionate salt so, each metered dose of the spray is almost half of that of the propionate spray. Intranasal and inhaled corticosteroid medicines have been extensively tested and a 20 year Cohort Study from Sweden revealed that it is perfectly safe for use in pregnancy and in lactation and no adverse effects were seen even in the offspring in 20 years!
