The blood in stool after a recent episode of hard constipation is most likely due to a small anal fissure (tiny tear near the anus) caused by passage of hard stool. It is common in children and usually heals with softening of stools and good hydration
Next Steps
Give more fluids, fruits (like papaya, banana), and fiber-rich food (like oats, dalia) 🔹 You can apply a gentle soothing ointment like petroleum jelly or zinc oxide around the anal area 🔹 Avoid straining — keep stools soft with proper diet 🔹 If bleeding continues or child has pain, fever, or poor appetite — visit a pediatrician
Health Tips
Do not give any laxatives or suppositories without doctor’s advice. Ensure child is active and passing stool daily with ease
