No u can not Unless  its wet cough  or  breathing difficulty Just give maxtra  as  our  colleague  adviced

Normal cough and cold may be due to upper respiratory tract infection,if he is wheezing then only levolin is helpful.For just cough and cold you can give syp maxtra 2.5 ml twice daily.
