I did MRI plain for my dizzy spells that last for 5 secs when bending forward while standing, slight off balance feel sometime. MRI plain was normal . Doctors told it may be bppv. Its for over 3 months I am facing this. Is MRI plain is as worth as MRI contarst? Dr did not want me to go for contrast MRI un less if there is a finding in MRI plain. So is MRI plain alone good?

Contrast MRI is not required, if they are not suspecting any other intracranial problems with your clinical findings and if the plain MRI is normal. Follow your doctor's advice. If symptoms persists consult neuro doctor for further evaluation and treatment.
