I have seen a white coating in mouth.so i applied some home remedies like applying garlic..baking soda. and it burned the whole area.after i went to doc and applied oinment it gone..but still the redness and small white coating is their.i am so hypochondriac person.i am worrying all time..by checking internet i have seen more serious issues..

It's a chemical burn and redness will remain for a few days and should resolve by itself. You haven't mentioned the area where white patch is present and also kindly mention the ointment used. Most white lesions are benign in nature.
