Monthly problem

Irregular periods, cycle occuring every alternate month. Last period occurred in the month of January then it happened in march, that too just for a day. Don't know what is wrong. Weight is also increasing alot, exercise is not helping much. Kindly guide and suggest the further action. Thank you.
