The incident definitely has created a trauma and when family doesn't support much it becomes more disheartened. Do not ignore the event, else, it can show up later in life if not resolved right now. But if they all are unwilling, you alone can seek Individual Counselling to help you deal with this situation in a better way. Typically such incidents occur out of various reasons but proximity and inadequate social/interpersonal environment is always a precipitating factor. You have not mentioned his age, so I suppose you both are young adults and in this age it becomes very important to have a good social circle, where you get to learn about various norms of the society and learn how to manage your instincts & impulses and not to get overwhelmed by them. I would suggest you to have an open discussion about this with your brother and help him understand how it impacted your psyche. Also, try to understand without judging him, whether he acted out of a sudden impulse or he feels attracted towards you. I suppose he has a very poor social environment with very limited friends and hardly a female friend in his circle. Remember, I am not trying to justify his act but we need to understand his psyche behind it if we want to address it. A change in his behaviour will require a change in his social environment and more importantly a change in his attitude towards self and others around him. You did the right thing by bringing it up with your parents but unfortunately in our society even adults (parents) are not mature enough to deal with such a situation. Most people get scared and embarrassed and start questioning their parenting skills (at a latent level) but fail to address the issues at hand.
