Minocycline vs doxycycline
Hi,
I have already taken minocycline last year... for almost 6 weeks... it worked well for me.
Now I consulted another doctor who prescribed me doxycycline 100mg.
Which is the best... I have minocycline 65...
Pls advice...

Treatment depends upon the grade...Acne or pimples... Due to hormonal changes..Oily skin causes it...Common in adolescent age...May occur in adults also.. Food like Oily foods, ice cream, chocolate and sweets increase it.. Heya! Doxycycline and minocycline belong to same group of drugs. They also have similar mechanism of action.
However, as per the preference of your treating doctor you can decide further the drug and it's dosage and frequency. You can go for other higher treatments depending on the duration and grade of acne. Take care!
