Mid Ear Infection
Ive been diagonised with mid ear infection , called Mastoiditis, it is chronic and there is discharge from the ear.I have been put on antibiotics injection and drugs for the past 25 days .It has affected my body . I am consulting a second ENT , done a CT scan , doctor has advised surgerey .
I want to know does surgery completely cure the problem and what is the type of surgery involved. The cost ,days in hospital and recovery time.
You seem to be suffering from chronic otitis media which commonly involves mastoid air cells causing mastoiditis. There are two types of chronic otitis media and treatment of each is different. Unless I know type of otitis media you have been diagnosed with I can't answer about details of surgery
