An edentulous space created by the extraction of any tooth, if not replaced in time, can cause drifting of the adjacent teeth as well as Supra eruption of the opposite teeth.
A clinical evaluation needs to be done to ascertain the amount of drifting that has occurred and the treatment options available to correct the same. The treatment can vary from composite build up of the teeth to crowns over the teeth.
But one thing is for sure that if the missing tooth is not replaced the tendency for drifting will still be maintained.
Show the better option will be to try and plan for the replacement of the missing tooth along with the correction of the created space.
