Seeing overlapping ingredients between two prenatal supplements is a common, valid concern. Doctors often combine a calcium-based supplement with a separate vitamin blend, and some folate or B12 overlap is usual when this happens. Folic acid used in pregnancy has a wide margin of safety, so this amount of overlap is unlikely to cause you harm.
Next Steps
Check with your prescribing doctor, naming both products, to confirm the overlap was intentional for your pregnancy. Keep taking both exactly as directed until you hear back.
Health Tips
Call your doctor sooner if you notice new nausea, a fast heartbeat or a rash, since these would need checking regardless of the cause.
