When I keep a symmetrical pen behind my canine teeth and click a picture with it, I can see it fits on the right side while there's a gap between the teeth and the pen on the left side. Also, the pen looks slanted. Does it indicate malocclusion?

No that does not indicate malocclusion as your jaw is deflecting . Occlusion must be checked in centric to diagnose properly. Consult a dentist
