Hi I am prateek. I have been a smoker for about 4 years now. I have noticed these swelling above my cheeks in the shape of a crescent and is hard. I have had this from around the same time I started smoking. After researching online I learnt that it's Malar Edema. I also learnt that it has no correct solution and the existing solutions are not effective. It looks very bad on my face as I don't have much facial hair and this really stands out. Also, my mother has thyroid imbalance and so she has Malar edema too, but when I checked my thyroid hormones it is normal. Please advice, thank you.
