Macular degenration

Can someone have macular degenration at 23? Is it a disease that affects the young? Also can one do amsler test on the phone. I did one and even though I do not think I saw any blurry lines, could I be wrong? I have had a ratina check up only in July, 22 and everything was healthy. Can symptoms of macular degenration be this quick to manifest?

Macular degeneration is uncommon in young adults. If retina examination was normal,  you need not worry. Consult local ophthalmologist  annually

Macular Degeneration is young, is comparatively rare. You can do Amslers test on the photo. If you feel like you saw blurry lines, most common cause is spectacle power ( refractive Error) It is highly unlikely to develop  macular Degeneration spontaneously in 1 year. Kindly get an online consultation to address all your concerns.
