Lump lower right back

I have had lower back pain focused in a small area. This has been a pain for over 6 months. This is complemented by a small lump on the lower back. Don't know if these are related. I am worried about the pain, since it is hampering my physical decisions and the lump is of concern. Earlier I couldn't even sit straight but it has slightly improved now. Please help
