Lump at vaccination site for new born
A small lump occured in the arm of my infant after her vaccination(given at her birth). That lump was very small at first but it is slowly growing and after 45 days (her current age) it is like pea sized. There is no pain or redness in that area.
Do we need to worry about that growing lump? Is any treatment required.

This is what happens after BCG vaccination . It’s the normal sequence of occurrence after a BCG vaccination. 6-8 weeks after vaccination there is a cystic lesion which comes up at the site which bursts later and leaves a scar . This means your baby has reacted normally to the vaccination and has now developed resistance to tuberculosis to some extent .
