Dear Doctor, My mother got diagnosed with 10,000 platlets only 4 days back(It was due to chemotherapy). The doctore suggested SDP and RDP. We performed the same. 1 unit of SDP and 10 units of RDP has been till day before yesterday night. The CBC test we did yesterday had 38,000 platelets. Do we still need to perform one more SDP ? is it necessary today ?

Yes she wil need one more SDP bcz platelet counts should be atleast more den 80000..And as 1 SDP is equavalent to 5 RDP and 1 RDP can increase platelet count by 10000...so after 1 SDP count wil be( 38k plus 50k,=88k)..just a rough idea..so go for 1 more unit of SDP...thanks
